To This Day

Today, in the hands of the third generation, we remain true to Grandma Antonia’s recipe. Even now, Juanito’s eyes fill with emotion when he enters the frying room and breathes in the aroma that takes him back to his childhood. This is the secret behind DEALVA potato chips — made with love, flavor, and tradition.

1984
DEALVA is Founded!

Juanito once had the chance to emigrate to Switzerland in search of a better income to keep supporting his family. He left everything behind and embraced new experiences abroad, where he also started his own family. In time, he decided to return to Alcalá la Real so his child could grow up and be educated in the same place he had. In 1984, he revived his dear mother’s recipe and began again — creating the DEALVA brand, named from his son’s two surnames.

Little by Little…

Word spread quickly. His mother’s recipe became a runaway success, and for a fair price anyone could savor extra virgin olive oil chips while wandering through the park.

Entrepreneurship

As the years passed, Juanito continued to enjoy the delicious potato chips his mother lovingly prepared for him each afternoon. When his family faced difficult times, he decided to do his part. With an entrepreneurial spirit, he asked his mother to teach him the recipe for her cherished chips — which he then began selling at the town park. And that’s how it all started.

Our Origin

It all began with a boy named Juanito, who loved nothing more than his mother Antonia’s potato chips. With love and dedication, she peeled and sliced the potatoes thin, frying them carefully in extra virgin olive oil. The kitchen filled with that irresistible aroma as Juanito waited eagerly. Once ready, Antonia drained them and placed them in a large paper cone, keeping them whole and crisp — just the way he liked them.
